Latino media outlets across the state will halt regular programming on Wednesday to inform their audiences about the implications of Senate Bill 1070, even though the U.S. Supreme Court won’t release its ruling on the tough immigration law until Thursday at the earliest.

Under the mantra, “Hoy Somos Arizona” (Today we are Arizona), the 23 media outlets — composed of TV and radio stations in Phoenix, Yuma and Tucson — will air a 30-minute segment about SB 1070 at 5 p.m. The program will review four key provisions of the law and what they mean, the impact the bill will have on families and individual’s rights.

Viewers nationwide can tune into the segment on www.hoysomosarizona.com.
