Assemblymember Block Hosts Open House and Free Home Clinic for Distressed Homeowners

 Assemblymember Marty Block (D-78) has announced an open house of his District Office. “We had a very successful open house in December,” commented the Assemblymember, “and hopefully would like to repeat that while introducing residents to our local staff and services available to them.” The District office is a great place to learn about help with state services, information and legislative updates.

 Open House will held Friday, July 10, 2009, 4:30 – 6:30 pm at the District Office, 7144 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945.

 On Saturday, Assemblymember Block will host an event for the benefit of home-owners who are feeling the crunch of these tough economic times. In collaboration with the Housing Opportunities Collaborative, the San Diego County Library, and the Legal Aid Society of San Diego Pro Bono Program, this hands-on clinic for San Diegans who are having trouble paying their mortgages.

 Those planning to participate are asked to bring their mortgage/lending/escrow documents as the clinic will offer reviews of those documents by a team of experts in the fields of law, and housing.
