National City Christian Center Forum
On Sunday, October 17th the Christian Center will be hosting all of the City of National City candidates who are running for the offices of Mayor, City Council and Governing Board of the National School District. At 12:15 pm, all candidates will be formally introduced inside of the National City Christian Center sanctuary. All the public is invited. The message to be delivered by Senior Pastor Misael Zaragosa is entitled “The Relationship Between The Church and Civil Government.”

Forum Gives Otay Mesa – Nestor Community a Voice in Local Politics
Some of the key issues affecting the Otay Mesa – Nestor community will be addressed at the Otay Mesa – Nestor Candidate’s Forum. The public is invited to take advantage of this free opportunity to an open constructive dialog between the Otay Mesa – Nestor community and candidates running in local elections.
The Forum will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Southwest High School Gymnasium (1685 Hollister Street, San Diego, CA 92154).
Candidates invited to participate include the following:
San Diego City Council (District 8): David Alvarez & Felipe Hueso
CA State Assembly (79th District): Ben Hueso & Derrick Roach
Superior Court (Seat 20): Jim Miller & Richard Monroy
CA State Senate (40th District): Brian Hendry & Juan Vargas
During the Forum the community will learn how responsive and sensitive candidates are to the concerns and needs of the Otay Mesa – Nestor community.

East County Debate
Just so you know there is a Congressional debate between Michael Benoit, Ray Lutz and Duncan Hunter Friday at Cuyamaca College.
The debate is scheduled for October 15 at Cuyamaca College in Rancho San Diego; 900 Rancho San Diego Pkwy. The doors to the foyer open at 6:00pm, and the debate begins at 7:00pm sharp.
