The Chula Vista challenge Olympic Distance Triathlon

  The City of Chula Vista welcomes Chula Vista Challenge Olympic Distance Triathlon on Sunday, October 16.

   Approximately 400 participants and spectators from across the San Diego region and Mexico will participate in the first time event.

   The time qualifying event consists of three races in swimming, biking and running. The triathlon will begin with a 1.5 k swim in San Diego Bay off Bayside Park in Chula Vista at 6 a.m. The race will immediately continue with a 40k bike course through Chula Vista, down Main Street continuing through the EastLake area. The running portion starts at Salt Creek Recreation

   Center through the local trails of the Wueste Road area and through the Olympic Training Center and ends back at the Salt Creek Recreation Center for a Finish Line Expo.
