Oceanside Looking for Residents to Serve on the New El Corazon Commission

The City Clerk is accepting applications from City residents for appointment to the new El Corazon Commission to help guide the future development of this parkland located in the heart of the City. The deadline for submittals has been extended to January 29, 2010.

This is an exciting opportunity for citizens to consider options and make recommendations to City staff, the Planning Commission and the City Council on the implementation of the El Corazon Specific Plan.

An application can be found on the City of Oceanside Web site (www.ci.oceanside.ca.us) and returned to the Oceanside City Clerk’s Office at 300 North Coast Highway, Oceanside CA 92054. Submit your application by January 29, 2010.

            The Northwest Civic Association will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Monday January 11th at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of the Chula Vista Civic Center Library at 4th Ave. & F St. Rick Hopkins, Chula Vista Public Works Director, will speak about upcoming Public Works projects & budget for 2010, & will field questions.
