DON DIEGO POST SPONSORED COMMUNITY DANCES
The weekly Sunday dances at Don Diego Post # 7420 continues to entertain packed crowds of members, guests and the general public at large. Sundays in October: 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th Dance Hours: 4:00 pm through 9:00 pm – Cost: $6.00 per person.
DON DIEGO POST ADMINISTRATION CHANGES …… AGAIN !
After approximately two months of Honorable VFW volunteer service, the newly-elected officers and appointed committee members that became the new Post leadership effective July 2012, suddenly voluntarily resigned all of their positions. During their short tenure, a number and variety of Post improvements, repairs and financial corrective action plans and accomplishments were put into place for the “Good Of The Don Diego Post VFW Order”.
They include a new and improved Post financial filing system, various plumbing repairs, installation of a new bathroom exhaust fan and motor, a brand new water heater, resurfacing the canteen and ballroom floors, extensive cleaning and renovation of the Post kitchen area, fresh new paint on the buildings exterior structure, replacement of exterior light fixtures, returned veterans photo display boards in dining room, elected a new Bar Manager, relieved the Post’s Quartermaster, reorganized and recruited several VFW annual and life Post memberships.
