We wanted to let you know about an amazing opportunity for small business owners in San Diego. The City of San Diego has developed a free Small Business Development Pilot Program designed to help you better position your business to pursue, bid on, and be awarded a contract with the City.

If you are a local small business vendor or goods and service provider interested in doing business with the City of San Diego, and want to learn more about the products and services the City purchases, then this program is for you.

The program will help you:

• Assess your bidding and contracting readiness level

• Identify growth opportunities to better position you as a potential bidder

• Understand the benefits of the City’s Small Local Business Enterprise Program

• Identify technical assistance and training specifically tailored to your needs

• Get certified as a Small Local Business Enterprise to receive bid discounts or preference points when bidding on contracts

• Network with procurement staff who are responsible for purchasing the types of products or services that your company can provide
