San Marcos, CA — TheVeteransCenter at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) invites the community to a special Memorial Day Observance on Thursday, May 10 in Tukwut Courtyard at 12 p.m. to pay tribute to our fallen heroes and their families and honor their contributions to our nation.

 Guest speakers include US Marine Corps Colonel Gino Amoroso of Camp Pendleton; CSUSM President Karen Haynes; and Air Force veteran and director of CSUSM’s Student Health and Counseling Services Dr. Karen Nicholson.

 Light refreshments will be served.

About the CSUSM Veterans Center

CSUSM currently had the highest percentage of student veterans per capita of any university in the CSU. One of the first to open in the state of California, the Veterans Center at CSUSM offers study space and academic support services for student-veterans, as well as serving as social center.
