Palomar College students and staff put their best feet forward recently, donating a mountain of new and “gently used” shoes designated for Haitian earthquake victims. “We were overwhelmed (happily) with donations,” said Sherry Titus, Palomar’s Director of Student Affairs, adding that 1466 pairs of shoes were collected during the week-long drive, Jan. 22 -29.

The Student Affairs Office coordinated the effort, in partnership with the Sports Chalet and Soles4Souls, an organization which collects and distributes shoes to those in need.
