Walmart hosted a rededication ceremony for the Virgen de Guadalupe mosaic at its Sherman Heights location on Dec. 11.
Father Richard Brown, pictured with Luciano Villela Jr., Walmart Neighborhood Market Manager, presided over the ceremony, with a blessing and a dedication of the mosaic back to the community. Members of the community placed candles and flowers beneath the Virgen de Guadalupe for the Annual Feast of Our Lady holiday celebration.
Following the event, guests enjoyed hot chocolate and pan dulce while listening to a classic four-piece mariachi band playing “Mañanitas,” the traditional tune that is sung to the Virgin Mary on her birthday.
