   While Chula Vista Mayor Cox talks about the economic turnaround, in her sTate of the city speech, the only turnaround going on is the churning in our stomachs with the continued dysfunction at city hall. The recent articles on the Dynergy clean up lets all to see what a mess this city council is… just another example of the council not knowing what the hell is going on. At the crux of the issue is the involvement of David Malcolm. Malcolm working with Cox and Pamela Bensoussan, with councilperson Pat Aguilar not wanting anything to do with Malcolm…. this is shaping up to be a calamity….

   This is just another repeat of the Gaylord fiasco where the project was on track and then fell off track after the election Cox as mayor…

   While the Mayor Cox talks about the economic turnaround, Anthony’s restaurant is shutting down and on 3rd Ave. Maya Chiangs has closed their doors. Even National City is complaining that the city council is sitting on their hands when it comes to developing a shopping center on their shared border….

   National City city council tried to pull a fast one on the mayor, Ron Morrison, trying to deny the mayor the Sweetwater Board appointment…. councilmembers didn’t have the right or authority but that didn’t stop them from trying….

   Ring leader on the NC council was vice mayor Alejandra Sotelo-Solis who wanted that appointment…. this has all the earmarks of a Jose Preciado movida trying to stack the board, for those who don’t know he sits on the Sweetwater board, with a few of his closest friends…

   David Alvarez, the newly elected district 8 council member is shaking up the system a bit. Seems that all the old social service agencies used to getting CDBG funding missed out this time around… it is about time some of that money gets spread around to other organizations for an opportunity….

            San Diego DA Bonnie Dumanis, who has always used her office for political advantage, announced her intention to run for mayor of San Diego… Also going around looking for support and endorsements has been Congressman Bob Filner….
